
South African Football Association ( SAFA) is the mother body of the county's football incharge of admnistrating all development football and national teams. Since its readmission to international competition after a lifetime of apartheid in soccer they have tried in all cylinders to develope the game , grow our international reputation and stamp our authority in the african football.
In promotional football the association administers the: Vodacom and SAB Regional Men's league, SASOL and ABSA Regional Women's league. NSL regognises the men's league as the second and third division of the country's football structures and SAFA refers to all the leagues as development leagues.
We goin to have exciting features, latest news, fixtures and results of all the teams operating under the auspices of the football association.

Vodacom League ( Third Division)
The Vodacom Promotional Leagues is contested by 61 clubs in each of the 9 geo-political provinces of South Africa. the winner of each Promotional League qualifies for the annual Vodacom Promotional Play-offs where the winners of two streams ( made up of 4 and 5 clubs respectively) qualify automatically for the National First Division (NFD).

SASOL League
The Sasol League which was launched in February 2009 as a provincial women’s league, consists 144 clubs nationwide with each province being represented by 16 clubs. The new Sasol League season (the third season) out of a four year contract involving Sasol as the sponsor of SA’s premier women’s football competition – will see matches played on a home and away basis among the 16 clubs in each province.
The Eastern Cape, Northern Cape and KwaZulu Natal clubs will be divided into two stream of 8 teams each because of the vast travelling distances between areas, the other six provinces will play as 16-team provincial leagues.
The winners of the respective provinces will qualify to compete at the Sasol League National Championships to be held from June 6-11 at a venue to be announced by the SA Football Association (Safa).The bottom 2 teams from each province will be relegated to the ABSA Women’s League (Regional) and the top 2 teams from the ABSA Women’s League (Regional) will be promoted into the SASOL League.

SAB Regional League ( Fourth Division)
The SAB Regional league ( formely Castle league) comprising 832 clubs and over 20 000 registered players, is the largest senior league administered by SAFA. Two winner ( from each of the 9 geo-political provinces) will be promoted annually to the Vodacom Promotional League after a series of play-offs in their respective province.
The 52 regional FAs are:
•Alfred Nzo, Amathole, Cacadu, Chris Hani, Nelson Mandela Bay, OR Tambo, Ukhahlamba (Eastern Cape Province).
•FezileDabi, Lejweleputswa, Motheo, Thabo Mofutsanyana, Xhariep (Free State Province).
•Ekurhuleni, Johannesburg, Metsweding, Sedibeng, Tshwane, West Rand (Gauteng Province).
•Amajuba, Ethekwini, iLembe, Sisonke, Ugu, Umgungundlovu, Umkhanyakude, Umzinyathi, Uthukela, Uthungulu, Zululand (KwaZulu-Natal Province).
•Capricorn, Mopani, Sekhukhune, Vhembe, Waterberg (Limpopo Province).
•Ehlanzeni, GertSibande, Nkangala (Mpumalanga Province).
•Frances Baard, Kgalagadi, Namakwa, Pixley-Ka-Seme, Siyanda (Northern Cape Province).
•Bojanala, Bophirima, Central, Southern (North-West Province).
•Boland, Cape Town, Central Karoo, Eden, Overberg, West Coast (Western Cape Province)

ABSA Women's League
Absa, in partnership with the South African Football Association (SAFA), launched the highly anticipated Absa Women's League. The interest and optimism around women's soccer is increasing significantly and the Absa Women League is indicative of this. The League is divided up into two phases; with the first being played in the 52 Regions of SAFA with an average of 12 teams per region.The second phase will comprise all the regional winners competing in a provincial play-off. Two teams from this phase will be promoted to the Provincial Women's League (Sasol League).
